Further Setlist

When a musical band or an artist is getting ready for a performance, they create what is called a setlist or a set list.  This is simply a list of the songs they are planning to perform during their set on stage.  This setlists is very important as it is what guides all the persons involved as to what will be happening with respect to the performance of the artist or the band.

Former Grateful Dead’s members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir formed the rock band called Further in 2009.  This band was named for the well-known tour bus that was used by the merry Pranksters and ken Kesey back in the 1960s.  They perform a lot of songs from the Greatful Dead’s repertoire, from other famous singers and bands, as well as their own original stuff.

The group performed their first 3 shows in February 2011 at the Odeum Colorado.  This tour was announced on December 3, 2010. They also went on tour on the east coast for twenty four shows, and that was in March.  This tour encompassed Boston, MA, and then it ended in Florida; Boca Raton in early April.  The tour took them to medium sized locations for a number of nightly performances.  There was a 5-night performance in New York; at the Best Buy Theater to be exact, another 3 nights at the Radio City Music Hall, also in New York, as well as yet another 5 nights at the Tower Theater, which is just outside Philadelphia.

Their summer tour commenced on June 3, 2011 in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, CA and ended at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA, at the Encore. It ended on July 31, 2011.  A majority of the shows for this tour were performed on the East Coast.

Further’s West Coast trip started on the 23rd of September.  This tour which was announced on the 4th of June, 2011, commenced in Eugene, OR at the Cuthbert Amphitheatre.  It is slated to end with their last performance being at the Monterey COUNTY Fairgrounds in Monterey, CA, on October 8.  They will be having a East Coast/Midwestern tour in the fall.  This announcement was made on the 9th of September, 2011 and will commence on the 3rd of November in Manchester NH; at the Verizon Wireless Arena to be exact.  This tour will close on November 21, and will be held in Indianapolis, IN, at the Old national Center.
